China Southern to fly larger 777-300ER on Guangzhou-Paris and London routes

China Southern Airlines will deploy larger Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on selected flights from Guangzhou to London Heathrow and Paris during the 2026-27 winter season, increasing capacity on two key European business routes.

On the Guangzhou-Paris route, flight CZ347/348 will switch from the Airbus A350-900 to the Boeing 777-300ER for its daily round-trip service from Oct. 25, 2026, to Feb. 28, 2027.

The airline will also upgrade its daily Guangzhou-London Heathrow service, CZ303/304, from the Boeing 787-9 to the 777-300ER from Dec. 11, 2026, to Jan. 10, 2027.

Compared with the Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-9, the Boeing 777-300ER is a larger, long-range widebody aircraft designed to carry more passengers and cargo on intercontinental routes. Its greater passenger capacity in China Southern's configuration allows the airline to increase seat supply without adding flights.

Separately, China Southern plans to operate its Guangzhou-London Gatwick route year-round, with five flights a week during the winter season.
