China Southern Airlines expands international flights for 2026–2027 winter season

China Southern Airlines will increase flight frequencies on several international routes from Guangzhou during the 2026–2027 winter-spring season. This includes services to Australia and New Zealand, the addition of connections to Ethiopia and the resumption of flights to South Korea's Jeju Island.

The airline outlined the changes at an international route promotion event held in Qingyuan, Guangdong Province, on October 28.

On routes to New Zealand, flights from Guangzhou to Auckland will increase from 14 to 18 a week from December 2 to February 12, 2027. Services to Christchurch will rise from 7 to 10 a week from December 2 to February 19, according to published schedules.

For Australia, China Southern Airlines will increase flights from Guangzhou to Perth from four a week to daily between December 1 and March 10, 2027. It will also add a fourth daily flight to Sydney from December 1 to February 20, and a third daily flight to Melbourne from November 21 to February 28.

The airline launched a Guangzhou-Changsha-Addis Ababa service on October 12 and resumed its Guangzhou-Delhi route in September. A Guangzhou-Jeju route is scheduled to resume on December 19, with flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
