China's updated railway timetable, which takes effect on July 1, will introduce the first direct high-speed rail service linking Heyuan in Guangdong Province with cities in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The new route, operated by trains G2863 and G2864, will provide direct connections from Heyuan East Railway Station to destinations including Foshan, Zhaoqing, Yunfu, Wuzhou, Pingnan, and Nanning. Previously, passengers traveling from Heyuan to Guangxi and parts of western Guangdong had to transfer trains.
The timetable adjustment will also improve intra-city travel within Guangdong. A high-speed rail service from Guangzhou to Meizhou West will be extended to Foshan Railway Station, allowing passengers to travel directly between Foshan and Heyuan without changing trains.
In addition, new early-morning services from Heyuan to Guangzhou and Shenzhen will be added, while more rail services will connect Heyuan with Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport, making rail-to-airport transfers more convenient.
