Some train services suspended in Guangdong due to tropical depression

On September 18, a tropical depression over the South China Sea began moving northwestward while gradually strengthening. Affected areas, including eastern and southwestern coastal Guangdong, Hainan Island, and surrounding regions, are expected to experience heavy rainfall, with localized extreme rain along the southeastern coast of Guangdong.

Due to the rainfall, some train services are suspended. From 14:00 to 20:00 on September 19, services between Longchuan and Dongguan East on the Beijing–Kowloon Railway will be suspended. Starting at 17:00 on September 19, all trains on the Hangzhou–Shenzhen High-speed Railway will be suspended, followed by the Ningbo–Guangzhou High-speed Railway at 18:00. Both lines are scheduled to resume operations at 09:00 on September 20. From 20:00 on September 20 to 14:00 on September 21, trains passing through Shaoguan East Station on the Beijing–Guangzhou Railway will be suspended.

To accommodate weekend travel demand, two additional train services between Shenzhen North and Shantou will be arranged after 18:00 on September 19.

Passengers who receive suspension notifications via SMS or the 12306 website (or app) can apply for a full refund within 30 days (including the day of departure) at the 12306 or railway station ticket counters. No refund fees will be charged for train suspensions.
