Guangzhou has launched self-service luggage storage at 29 major bus stations across the city, with 48 smart lockers put into operation since September 1.
The service covers key urban districts including Yuexiu, Tianhe, Haizhu, Liwan and Baiyun, with Hive Box lockers available at major transport hubs and public facilities such as the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center, Gaozeng Metro Station, Guangzhou Children's Park, Caonuan Park near Guangzhou Railway Station and Guangzhou East Railway Station.
Users can store and retrieve luggage or send parcels by scanning a QR code through WeChat, Alipay or the Hive Box mini program, without queuing or registering in person.
An online reservation function also allows users to check locker availability remotely and reserve a time slot in advance, helping them avoid crowds and fully booked lockers during peak travel periods.
