Airports across Guangdong province are expanding air links for the 2026 summer-autumn season, with new routes and increased frequencies connecting the region to cities across Asia and within China.

At Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, a new service to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, will launch on March 29, adding to the airport's growing Central Asia network. Long-haul capacity is also being ramped up, with flights to Sydney rising to three per day, while routes to Perth and Adelaide shift to year-round operations. In Southeast Asia, services to Vientiane in Laos, Kota Kinabalu and Penang in Malaysia will see significant increases. Domestically, additional flights are being added to cities including Zhengzhou, Taiyuan and Nanjing.

At Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, foreign airlines are increasing flights to several international destinations during the summer peak, while domestic capacity is being expanded on routes to Chengdu, Chongqing, Hangzhou and Kunming.

Regional airports are also adding new connections. Foshan Airport is restoring direct services to Lanzhou and Shijiazhuang.

At Zhanjiang Wuchuan International Airport, new and expanded routes will link the city with Wenzhou, Yichang, Fuzhou, Qionghai Bo'ao and Xishuangbanna.

Zhuhai Jinwan Airport is adding a new route to Tangshan and resuming flights to ShiyanLijiang, Shangrao and Jinggangshan.

At Shaoguan Danxia Airport, from March 29, the Chengdu Tianfu-Shaoguan-Jieyang service will increase from three weekly flights to four, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Meanwhile, Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport will increase flights to Vientiane, boosting links between eastern Guangdong and the Lao capital.

The expanded network highlights growing demand for both domestic and international travel, as airports across the province strengthen connections to key regional and long-haul destinations.
