Typhoon Tapah, the 16th typhoon of the year, is expected to make landfall on the western and central coast of Guangdong on September 8. Ferry services across the Qiongzhou Strait were fully suspended from 14:00 on September 7, with some railway services experiencing adjustments and cancellations.
As of 11:00 on September 7, vehicles were no longer permitted to enter Qiongzhou Strait ports. The resumption time will be announced based on the typhoon's impact.
After 18:00 on September 7, trains on the Shenzhen-Zhanjiang line will be partly suspended or adjusted to terminate at Guangzhou South Railway Station. Between September 6 and 7, cross-sea trains to and from Hainan Island will be redirected to Guangzhou Baiyun Station. On September 7, trains between Anyang and Sanya, as well as those from Shenzhen East to Sanya, Kunming, Jingxi, and Zhanjiang, will experience partial suspensions.
