Traffic diversion measures have been introduced on the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link in Guangdong amid increased road traffic during the National Day holiday.
Shenzhen traffic police said on October 1 that traffic heading south on the Yanjiang Expressway S3 (沿江高速) towards the westbound ramp of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link was being diverted from 6 a.m.
Drivers were advised to follow on-site signs and instructions from traffic officers. Those unable to enter the link directly could continue to Xixiang Toll Station (西乡收费站), make a U-turn and then proceed towards the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link.
Traffic police said they would monitor traffic conditions and adjust arrangements as needed to ease congestion. Drivers were also advised to check navigation apps for the latest road conditions and consider travelling outside peak hours.
