German food blogger Patrick Köllmer, known by his Chinese name Wu Yuxiang, recently shared a social media post about his third trip to Zhanjiang, highlighting the city's seafood and distinctive local cuisine.
Köllmer still raves about a US$2.7 bowl of seafood soup packed with shrimp, oysters and clams, praising its freshness, flavor and value.
Across his three trips to Zhanjiang, he has sampled pineapple beef rice, seafood rice noodle salad, sweet soups and charcoal-grilled oysters, with the city's affordable seafood keeping him coming back.
The city's old streets and coastal scenery have also left a deep impression on him, especially its beaches.
