Golden clusters of seedless wampees now fill orchards across Yunfu's Yunan County, Guangdong Province, marking the start of the harvest season of this year.
Yunan's seedless wampees, known for their sweet flavor with a hint of tartness, are among the county's signature agricultural products. In mid-July, Yunan will host a dedicated promotion event for seedless wampees as part of the 2026 "Guangdong Goods Global Reach" summer campaign. The week-long event will feature fruit-picking experiences, cultural performances, music shows, and an open-air banquet.
The event will expand beyond the county through themed high-speed rail services and pop-up promotional activities in cities including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, aiming to further raise the profile of Yunan's signature fruit.
