The aromas of wagyu beef cheek bourguignon, crispy crab roe puffs, snowflake beef in satay broth, sugar sponge cakes topped with caviar and other delicacies filled The MixC Street at The MixC shopping mall in Luohu District as crowds gathered to sample the dishes.
Twelve Michelin-starred and Michelin-selected restaurants from Guangzhou and Shenzhen stepped out of their fine-dining rooms to serve signature dishes in small portions at the Michelin Guide Food Festival Shenzhen 2026. No hefty bill required, just star-quality flavor for everyone.

Held following the release of the Michelin Guide Guangzhou | Shenzhen 2026, the three-day festival brings a high-profile culinary event to an open-air street, making global food culture more accessible to the public. Many chefs not only prepare their signature dishes onsite but also share their culinary ideas with diners.

Diners can enjoy the dishes at rest areas set among several aesthetically designed installations and layers of greenery. At night, various lights transform the street into a glowing retreat. A giant moon installation rose above the street to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

A dazzling kinetic screen unfolds a three-layer narrative comprising an outer frame, a live stage and an inner digital world. During a special performance of the hit dance drama “Wing Chun” tonight, intangible cultural heritage met modern digital art in a striking display of futuristic lighting effects.
After the festival, the installation will be relocated to The MixC’s north plaza, where it will remain as a permanent public art installation.

Traditional Chinese dances in contemporary styles, Chinese folk music and Western orchestral music created a dialogue between East and West. Multidimensional light shows filled the street with imagery inspired by Luohu and the Mid-Autumn Festival, prompting visitors to stop and take photos.
The festival runs through Sunday. Visitors can queue to enter the venue without making a reservation. By turning Michelin recognition into an accessible public event, the festival is helping enrich Shenzhen’s international food culture.
