This dragon boat feast in Shunde, Guangdong, absolutely amazing!

On June 20, a vibrant Dragon Boat Festival Feast kicked off in Longchongkou Village (龙涌口村), Ronggui Subdistrict, Shunde District, Foshan.

Featuring six signature local ingredients known as the "Six Local Treasures," the feast revives a century-old folk custom with authentic river-town flavors and warm community spirit.

This year, Longchongkou has incorporated six distinctive local ingredients into every signature course: preserved root mustard, salted lettuce, white butterfly ginger, bamboo shoots, peach blossom petals, and pomelo rind.

Each dish carries a heartfelt and auspicious meaning rooted in the village's river-town lifestyle. Crisp Pastry with Peach Blossom & Red Bean Filling symbolizes year-round good fortune and prosperity. Coiled Braised Eel with Pomelo Rind—shaped like a winding dragon—represents auspicious dragon vitality and favorable weather. White Butterfly Ginger Fish Maw Soup conveys wishes for smooth progress in all endeavors.
