Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has unveiled a broad service expansion on the 16th China Tourism Day, combining tourism-linked offerings and new terminal infrastructure as it moves to strengthen its role as a leading international aviation gateway in southern China.
The airport recently rolled out a series of tourism-linked promotions, including discounts on lounge access and hotel benefits tied to ticket stubs from tourism attractions in Guangdong, as well as cross-city partnerships such as bundled offers with Zhaoqing tourism services. Additional campaigns include consumption rewards at airport retailers and themed promotional activities designed to integrate travel, leisure, and retail spending.

At the same time, the airport has expanded services for international arrivals with dedicated foreign passenger service centers in the international arrivals areas of Terminals 2 and 3. The facilities offer one-stop support for mobile communications, payment setup, transport booking, and customized tourism planning, reflecting efforts to improve inbound travel convenience. The airport has also enhanced regional connectivity through express coach services to Zhaoqing and direct check-in functions integrated into airport transport hubs.
On the tourism product side, the airport is developing guided tours and educational aviation programs that open operational areas to visitors. These initiatives aim to position the airport not only as a transport hub but also as a leisure and educational destination.

A major infrastructure milestone was marked with the opening of two new hotels at Terminal 3: Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and Hilton Garden Inn Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. Located within a five-minute walk of the new terminal, the properties are also connected by shuttle to Terminal 2 and integrated into the airport’s wider transport network, including rail and metro links. The hotels are designed for premium business travelers and short-stay transit passengers, offering runway-view rooms, meeting facilities, fitness centers, and co-working spaces.
