2026 Guangzhou Huazhao Festival is here: Parks roll out special offers

The Huazhao Festival is a traditional Chinese spring celebration featuring flower appreciation, worship of the Flower Goddess, spring outings and Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) gatherings.

This March, the 2026 Guangzhou Huazhao Festival takes place across parks citywide, offering a month-long celebration of blossoms and traditional culture, along with special perks for visitors who join themed activities and share their experiences online.

Festival Offers and Participation

1. Wear standard-style Hanfu and visit designated parks or scenic areas.

2. Post photos or videos on Xiaohongshu, Douyin, WeChat Channels, WeChat Official Accounts or WeChat Moments.

3. Include the hashtag: #2026广州花朝节我在XXX公园 (#2026 Guangzhou Huazhao Festival: I'm at XXX Park)

4. Present your post on-site to receive applicable discounts.

Zhujiang Park (珠江公园) (Main Venue)

On March 22, the official opening ceremony will feature Flower Goddess parades. Throughout the festival, vendors across the park will offer themed set menus, limited-time discounts, interactive activities, and parking promotions.

Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall (中山纪念堂)

From March 15 to 31, visitors in Hanfu who post with the festival hashtag can enjoy 20% off admission.

Maofeng Mountain (帽峰山)

From March 15 to 31, visitors wearing Hanfu who post with the festival hashtag receive free admission. 

Shimen National Forest Park (石门国家森林公园)

From March 15 to 31, visitors wearing Hanfu who post with the festival hashtag receive free admission.

Liuhua Lake Park (流花湖公园)

On March 21, the park will host Flower Goddess parades, a Huazhao market and floral-themed activities. Visitors wearing Hanfu who post with the festival hashtag can join the festivities.
