Shaoguan launches "Nanhua · Spring Walk" nighttime cultural program

From February 24 to March 3, Nanhua Temple in Shaoguan presents Nanhua·Spring Walk, a nighttime public cultural program for the Spring Festival season.

Centered on the motif of "walking," the event links courtyards, water surfaces, corridors, and woodlands through digital light and site-specific ambiance, forming a contemplative night route. The design emphasizes low illumination and minimal disturbance, allowing light to unfold naturally with each step.

Unlike traditional lantern festivals, Nanhua·Spring Walk prioritizes public cultural quality and spatial order. A one-way looped route and timed entry guide visitor flow, enabling a calm, undisturbed cultural experience.

The project receives academic support from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. The curatorial team adopts the principle that "light is a guide, not the protagonist," integrating spatial narrative and visual coordination to harmonize artistic expression with on-site order and balance cultural presentation with public safety.

As a key symbol of Lingnan culture, Nanhua Temple carries a profound historical legacy. The program responds to traditional spiritual meanings through a contemporary visual language, offering a special nighttime cultural experience.
