Macao Drone & Fireworks Displays postponed to March 7, plus Hengqin viewing tips

Due to unstable weather conditions and to ensure the best viewing experience, the Macao Government Tourism Office has announced that the 2026 Chinese New Year Drone & Fireworks Displays, originally scheduled for 9:00 p.m. on March 3 (Lantern Festival), will be postponed to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, following a comprehensive assessment.

The show will begin with a drone performance, followed by fireworks. The total duration has been extended to approximately 25 minutes.

Parking advice

Visitors are advised to park at the Hengqin International Financial Center parking lot (approximately 1,500 parking spaces available).

If the lot is full, vehicles may park in an orderly single row along designated sections of Shizimen Avenue, Huitong 5th Road, Huitong 3rd Road, Rong'ao Road, Rongzhu Road, Ronggang Road, Huitong 2nd Road and Huitong 1st Road.

Post-event traffic guidance

After the fireworks display, vehicles parked west of Shizimen Avenue may exit the island via Shizimen Tunnel or Hengqin Bridge. Other vehicles may leave via Hengqin Tunnel, Shenjing Passage and other designated routes.
