During the Spring Festival this year, Qingyuan City and its county-level cities and districts will host nearly 400 diverse cultural and tourism events, running from February 3 through the Lantern Festival on March 3. Visitors and residents are warmly invited to immerse themselves in a festive and authentic festival celebration.

New Year fireworks show
Time: Evening of February 17 (the first day of the Chinese Lunar Year)
Locations: Qingyuan Fengcheng Cultural Square (凤城文化广场), Yingde Haiyang Lake Central Park (海阳湖中央公园), Lianshan Minzu High School Sports Ground (连山民族中学运动场)

Spectacular water and light show
Time: Evening of February 17 (the first day of the Chinese Lunar Year)
Location: Yingde Yuegui Lake Square (英德月桂湖广场)
The 3rd Lantern Festival gala with a dragon and lion parade
Time: March 3 (the 15th day of the first lunar month)
Location: Qingyuan Performance Square (演艺广场)

II. Featured cultural performances
A series of Spring Festival Galas will be held across the city. Key events include:
Qingyuan City: "I celebrate Chinese New Year in Qingyuan"–the 2026 Spring Festival Gala in Qingyuan, held on February 11 (the 24th day of the 12th lunar month) at the Performance Square.
Yingde City: The 11th Children's Spring Festival Gala on February 9 and the 2026 Spring Festival Gala on February 13.
Lianzhou City, Lianshan County, Liannan County, Yangshan County, and other areas will also host Spring Festival Galas featuring distinctive ethnic and regional characteristics.

III. Traditional New Year experiences
Spring Festival flower fair
Flower fairs in various counties and districts will open successively from February 6 to February 16. Main venues include Xinmin Road in Qingcheng District, Yuegui Lake Renhe Square in Yingde, and Yuebei Dazhou Trade City in Lianzhou.
Folk activities of intangible cultural heritage
Time: February 17 to March 3 (from the first day of the Chinese Lunar Year to the Lantern Festival)
Citywide celebrations include the "Intangible cultural heritage welcomes Chinese New Year" lion dance performance, along with featured events such as the lantern fair in Qingcheng District, the garden fair during the Lantern Festival in Qingxin District, the Tofu Festival in Gaogang Town of Fogang County, and the fire lion performances during the Lantern Festival in Lianshan County. In addition, visitors can enjoy a variety of traditional cultural activities, including fire dragon dances, rooster lion dance parades, sugar painting, paper-cutting, and lantern riddle guessing.

IV. Coordinated urban-rural activities
All counties, including county-level cities and districts, will organize a series of events with local characteristics, such as the "Spring Festival Village Gala" and "Chinese New Year Cup" sports tournaments, creating a joyful and celebratory atmosphere shared by both urban and rural communities.
