New high school in Hengqin completed and set to open this fall

Recently, the Capital Normal University Ziqi Experimental High School in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin has completed construction and passed its final inspection. It will officially begin operation this fall.

Located on the north side of Gang'ao Avenue and adjacent to Macau New Neighborhood, the school project covers an area of approximately 48,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 61,000 square meters and a total investment of around 420 million yuan. Despite challenges, the project was successfully completed within 18 months.

The new campus is designed to accommodate 36 classes and 1,800 students.

The school features three main functional zones: a teaching area, a living area, and a sports area. The eastern teaching area, serving as the core, houses teaching buildings, a library, a gymnasium, and an auditorium. The northern living area includes canteens and other service facilities, while the western sports area is equipped with a 400-meter track and field stadium, an indoor gymnasium, and a swimming pool.

With the completion of the project, the school will move out of its temporary location. Students will start the new semester in their brand-new campus.
