The Hengqin Capital Normal University Experimental High School (Hengqin CNU Experimental High School), located in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, will welcome its first cohort in September 2026. The school plans to enroll 100 first year students, while a special admission policy will offer applicants with Hengqin household registration two opportunities for admission in the placement process.
At an admissions consultation held on May 31, the school presented its enrollment policies to more than 1,000 students and parents from Zhuhai, Macao, and Hong Kong.
As the first public senior high school in the Cooperation Zone, the school will open four classes in September: two standard classes and two dedicated classes for students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions of China. All classes will follow a small-class teaching model.

Admissions to the standard classes will be processed in the first batch of Zhuhai's senior high school entrance exam placements. Up to 5 percent of seats in this category will be reserved exclusively for students with Hengqin household registration. Eligible students will first be considered in the citywide admission pool and then, if not admitted, in a dedicated Hengqin round, effectively giving them two opportunities for placement.
All admissions will strictly follow Zhuhai's high school entrance exam rules, with candidates admitted based on exam scores through parallel placement.

Classes for students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions will follow an independent early admission round process. They are designed to provide a distinctive educational pathway that bridges the school systems of the Chinese mainland and Macao.
