At the 26th China Annual Conference for International Education & Expo held in early November in Beijing, Dongguan Polytechnic showcased its achievements in internationalizing vocational education, integrating industry and education, and cultivating skilled talent.
At the conference, Dongguan Polytechnic received the "Outstanding Contribution Award for China-Thailand Cooperation in Vocational and Technical Education (2024–2025)" from Thailand's Office of the Vocational Education Commission. This marked the university's third time receiving the honor since 2021, recognizing its accomplishments in advancing vocational education internationally and strengthening China-Thailand cooperation.
During the event, Dongguan Polytechnic signed an MoU with Yelabuga Polytechnic College of Russia, further expanding its international partnerships and opening a new chapter in China-Russia vocational education cooperation.
Over the years, Dongguan Polytechnic has deepened its collaboration with educational institutions in ASEAN and Europe, making solid progress in international student programs, joint initiatives, global standards development, vocational education internationalization, and faculty exchanges.
Through leading platforms such as the Belt and Road Vocational Education-Industry Alliance and the China-Thailand PCB Industry Talent Development Base, Dongguan Polytechnic has drafted 18 standards adopted in Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam and earned multiple honors for its international cooperation and influence in vocational education.
With its "going global with enterprises" approach, Dongguan Polytechnic collaborates with companies including Shennan Circuits and Defond Huizhou to run joint international programs, co-develop textbooks and training bases, and establish an International Field Engineer Academy overseas—creating a comprehensive framework for international cooperation in vocational education.
In 2025, Dongguan Polytechnic was recognized as a Sino-Foreign Friendship College and a key Lingnan Craftsman Academy institution, marking significant progress in shaping an international vocational education model with distinctive Dongguan features and global reach.
