On July 2, the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and the Macao Special Administrative Region renewed their cooperation program on healthy living education.
The renewal marks a further practical step of the collaboration between Hengqin and Macao in promoting residents' livelihoods.
Since the two sides signed their first agreement in July 2023, they have implemented a number of livelihood projects, including the joint construction of a Hengqin–Macao children's healthy living science museum and the joint development of healthy living education curricula tailored to the situation of Hengqin.
Following the renewal, the cooperation will focus on three major initiatives: establishing a standardized trainer training system, expanding the coverage of healthy living courses in Hengqin schools, and introducing Macao's public-private partnership experience to bring healthy living concepts deeper into Hengqin-Macao communities.
In addition, to commemorate the third anniversary of the healthy living education cooperation program, a special exhibition will be open to the public on weekends in August. At the exhibition, Hengqin and Macao families can learn about health through interactive installations and explore the three-year journey of the healthy living education cooperation program between Hengqin and Macao.
