As one of the host cities of the 15th National Games, Qingyuan is responsible for organizing two mass sports events—Chinese Wrestling and Health Qigong—as well as one competitive sports event—wrestling, which includes both Freestyle and Greco-Roman disciplines.
The Chinese Wrestling Finals will take place over two days. Elite wrestlers from Beijing, Tianjin, Inner Mongolia, Anhui, Guangdong, Xinjiang, and Hong Kong, among other regions, will compete for top honors in their respective categories.
Team Guangdong is represented by four athletes in this year's competition, aiming for podium finishes in the women's 56kg and men's 65kg divisions. Our main rivals in the women's 56kg category include competitors from Henan and Hebei, while the men's 65kg event will feature strong teams from Anhui, Henan, and Hebei. In other weight classes, medal contention is expected to be most intense among teams from Shanxi, Henan, Hebei, Shandong, and Inner Mongolia.
On July 24, the competition began with preliminary rounds, elimination matches, and finals in the women's 56kg, men's 56kg, and men's 65kg divisions.
On July 25, matches will continue in the women's 70kg, men's 75kg, and men's 90kg categories.
