The beach at Wuhuan Square of the Zhanjiang Olympic Sports Center was brightly lit on April 11 as China's men's beach handball team faced off against Hungary in an international exchange match. Serving as a key training session for both teams, the match delivered a fast-paced and highly skillful contest.

China edged ahead by two points in the first half, but Hungary responded with a three-point lead in the second to level the score. The game proceeded to a one-on-one shootout, where the two sides remained deadlocked at 6–6 after five rounds. In the second sudden-death round, China sealed a 10–8 victory following a decisive long-range goal by their goalkeeper.

The match drew a spirited crowd, with cheers echoing throughout the venue. Afterward, Hungarian player Zalan Szalay praised the atmosphere and scenery of Zhanjiang and spoke highly of the local cuisine—especially the shrimp—while greeting fans in Mandarin.
