The 2026 Jieyang Fun Run Series is scheduled to kick off in late January.
The route is tentatively planned to start from Mingyue Sports Park and end near Wanda Plaza, covering nearly 10 kilometers. It will pass many of Jieyang's major landmarks, including Linjiangnan Road, Dongsheng Wetland Park, and Rongjiang Riverside Park.
This event will accommodate 20,000 participants and feature two categories: the Experience Group and the Challenge Group. The Experience Group is open to participants aged five and above, with no timing results, and finishers will receive a commemorative medal. The Challenge Group is divided into six divisions: men's and women's groups for ages 16–29, 30–49, and 50–65. The top ten runners in each division will receive a cash prize of up to 3,800 yuan, along with Jieyang-themed tourism gifts.
Champion athletes will be invited to join the run, and a series of pre-race training camps will be organized to promote effective running techniques.
During the event, the organizing committee will promote the "Travel Jieyang with the Run" recommended routes, providing travel-related discounts for runners. A fun run carnival will also be held, featuring Jieyang's intangible cultural heritage items, cultural and creative products, local delicacies, and tourism souvenirs.
