The 12th Guangzhou Marathon is scheduled to take place on December 21(Sunday), 2025, with an entry quota of 26,000 participants. Registration for the race has opened and will close on September 28 at 6:00 p.m. The route runs alongside the Pearl River, offering runners a unique tour of scenic spots, cultural landmarks, and striking modern architecture.
In 2025, the Organizing Committee will continue to strive for high-quality runner services and diverse activities, aiming to establish the Guangzhou Marathon as a premier sporting and cultural event for the city.

Note: If the number of applicants exceeds the set quota for the race, a lottery will be used to determine the contestants. The results of the lottery will be announced in mid-October.

Age
Participants must be over 20 years old (born on or before December 31, 2005)
Athletes aged 65 or above shall carefully assess their health status. They must submit a co-signed Declaration of Participation and Commitment to Health and Safety Responsibilities, signed by themselves and their family members (including spouse, parents, adult children, and other adult relatives living together).
Past experiences
Participants must provide proof of completion of the marathon or half marathon between January 1, 2023 and September 21, 2025. Online marathon results are invalid.

The results of the lottery will be announced in mid-October
