"Bloom"! Torch for China's 15th National Games unveiled

On August 2 in Shenzhen, the torch for the 15th National Games and the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities was officially unveiled — and it's nothing short of breathtaking. Named "Bloom" (绽放), the torch resembles a dazzling firework frozen mid-bloom in the air.

It combines cutting-edge design with rich cultural symbolism. From the twisting silhouette inspired by the Games' emblem to the nods to the Canton Tower, every detail tells a story. Its three blooming petals represent the unity of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. At its base, a peony—China's national flower—symbolizes beauty, strength, and a shared national spirit. It is a perfect blend of tradition, innovation, and artistry.

Watch as designers reveal the inspiration behind this stunning symbol of sport and unity.
