Dongguan cyclist Hu Lexi claimed the Girls 9 title at the 2026 Pump Track World Youth Challenge in Marma, Sweden, marking another breakthrough in her young cycling career.
Hu delivered a strong performance throughout the competition, improving round by round before taking the top spot against young riders from around the world.
Hu joined the Huangjiang Cycling Team in July 2025 and has trained with the team regularly ever since. Her mother said the positive training environment and strong roster of riders were key reasons why she chose the Huangjiang-based team in Dongguan.
Coach He Xiaofang described Hu as highly disciplined and focused, saying she takes every training session seriously and regularly reviews her performance after competitions.
Looking ahead, Hu plans to devote more time to dirt pump track training next year. She is also being developed as a prospective rider for the next Guangdong Provincial Games.
