Yunfu to host FIH Hockey Pro League women's competition in February 2026

From February 5 to 10, 2026, Guangdong's Yunfu will host the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Pro League women's competition, where China's national women's team will compete against the world's top teams, including the Netherlands and England.

The announcement followed the conclusion of the hockey competitions at China's 15th National Games in Yunfu on November 15, which showcased the city's first-class facilities and organizational capabilities. The competition venue, Guangdong Yunfu Hockey Stadium, meets the FIH Category 1 standard and accommodates over 2,000 spectators. It is the first certified field of its kind in Guangdong and the seventh in China, capable of hosting world-class, broadcast-ready events.

Alyson Annan, head coach of China's women's hockey team, expressed hope that the enthusiasm shown during the National Games will continue next February and encouraged fans to return to the stands to support the team.
