The 2025 Huicheng District Skateboarding Invitational was held at Huamao Tiandi Commercial Area in Huizhou City on October 25, as part of the National Fitness Day celebrations.

The competition featured two main events: the Ramp Jump Distance and the Course Time Trial. In the Ramp Jump Distance, competitors launched from a designated point, used a ramp to gain air, and were scored based on the straight-line distance from launch to landing. Each participant had two attempts, with the best score counting. In the Course Time Trial, skaters navigated a designated path while avoiding obstacles, with their final time determining their ranking—only one attempt was allowed, with shorter times placing higher.

Over 200 applicants competed for spots at the Huicheng District Skateboarding Invitational, with more than 50 skaters ultimately qualifying. Participants ranged in age from six to 18. The event featured a skateboarding parade, public demo, and try-it session, giving youth a chance to engage with the sport.
Li Zhiming, Deputy Director of the Huicheng District Bureau, highlighted the skateboarding invitational as a pivotal event for national fitness and a warm-up for the 15th National Games. He underscored skateboarding's role in fostering a participatory fitness culture, advancing the district as a leading sports hub, and promoting public health.
