Thundering engines marked the launch of the 2025 Guangzhou World Super Cup & China Youth Circuit Motorcycle (International) Open (SUPERCUP) on August 2 at the Guangzhou Conghua International Circuit (GCIC).
Co-hosted by the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China (CAMF) and Guangzhou's Conghua District Government, this international event gathered young riders from 23 countries and regions to compete and connect through speed and passion. Showcasing youthful energy and global camaraderie, the championship sets the stage for China's 15th National Games and marks a new chapter in international sports exchange.
The opening ceremony came to life with a street dance performance that seamlessly blended traditional Chinese aesthetics with youthful energy. Dancers embodied the fusion of heritage and modernity, infusing the international event with a unique cultural flair. As formal proceedings commenced, a parade of national flags from all participating delegations entered the track—each banner symbolizing national pride and a cross-border invitation to friendship.
Notably, SUPERCUP is China's first self-developed international youth motorcycle racing IP. Officially certified by CAMF and backed by Italy's OHVALE brand, the competition features three age-based categories: the OHVALE GP-0 110cc experience group, the flagship OHVALE GP-0 160 EVO competitive group, and the advanced OHVALE GP-2 190 EVO group.
Globally live-streamed and held under strict OHVALE Cup regulations, the event enforces the principle of 'absolute fair competition' through standardized bikes with sealed engines. Following international MiniGP standards, all categories use the latest OHVALE GP series models, ensuring a level playing field for every rider.
Champions in each category will be determined by cumulative points across two preliminaries (Race 1 & Race 2) and a Super Final. Top performers will advance to Italy's CIV Junior Finals at Vallelunga on September 28, with 160cc and 190cc winners earning direct entry into the prestigious CIV Championship.
