Yangjiang, renowned as the "Hometown of Chinese Kites," is channeling its maritime spirit into expanding sports infrastructure, as announced at a press conference held on November 18 in Guangdong's capital, Guangzhou.

Yangjiang is located in western Guangdong. During the ongoing 15th National Games, it has hosted the mass beach soccer finals and the coastal rowing beach sprint finals on its scenic Hailing Island. To ensure a smooth sports experience, Yangjiang has made significant efforts to enhance its sports infrastructure.
These efforts include a new coastal highway built to connect downtown to the Hailing Island competition zone, which can be utilized for both sports event transportation and daily tourism. Additionally, new facilities such as two public fitness centers and a tennis and badminton center have been constructed in Yangjiang City.
Through these initiatives, Yangjiang aims to extend the sports enthusiasm generated by the ongoing 15th National Games into the daily lives of its residents.
