The OHVALE Guangzhou Supercup 2026 & China Youth International Circuit Motorcycle Championship kicked off its Super Final at the Guangzhou Conghua International Circuit on August 23. Yu Zaiqing, a member of the International Olympic Committee and vice president of the Chinese Olympic Committee, attended the opening ceremony and declared the event open.
Co-hosted by the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Sports and the People's Government of Conghua District, the championship is one of the world's highest-level international youth circuit motorcycle competitions. The number of participating countries and regions rose from 23 in the previous edition to 33, with participants from all five continents. Over 100 young riders gathered in Conghua, marking a "double leap" in international influence and global participation scale.
The Super Final proved to be a defining moment for Chinese riders, who swept all four category titles: Pan Gumingchen in the 110A class, Feng Junkai in the 110-4S class, Wang Zixinwei in the 160 class and Huang Tingnuo in the 190 class.
This year's championship set a global precedent by staging the world's first youth motorcycle night race at the Conghua International Circuit. The venue's lighting system was fully upgraded to an illuminance of 400 lux, far exceeding FIA and FIM standards for similar events. The event adopted MYLAPS' timing, GPS and race-signal-light management systems, delivering millisecond-level precision for refereeing and lap-time recording. Over 100 standardized competition bikes, all imported from Italy, ensured every rider competed on a level playing field.
The Guangzhou Conghua International Circuit (GCIC) covers an area of 80,700 square meters, with its main track stretching 1.2 kilometers and featuring 15 corners. It is the only circuit in South China to hold dual FIA-CIK and FIM licenses and the first MiniGP track in China. The championship features four competitive categories for riders aged 7 to 16.
In an innovative move, the event introduced an all-inclusive "arrive-and-drive" service: riders from all countries only needed to purchase round-trip air tickets, while the organizing committee took care of airport transfers, accommodation, entry fees, meals, local transport and sightseeing. During the week-long event, a dedicated "Culture and Tourism Promotion Day" saw over 500 participants visit Yongqing Fang, the Cantonese Opera Art Museum, Beijing Road (the city's thousand-year-old commercial thoroughfare) and Conghua's Liuxi Hot Spring Square, where they experienced the charm of Guangzhou and Conghua.
