The "Hengqin-Macao Cup" sports series is scheduled for July and August. For the first time, the badminton open category will be held in Macao.
The tournament offers both corporate and open divisions in five sports: table tennis, pickleball, badminton, basketball, and tennis.
The event is co-hosted by the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, and the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government. All competitions will be held in a team format, and registration officially opened on June 22.
The top eight teams in each division will be awarded prizes. All winning teams will receive a team trophy and individual medals. For pickleball, table tennis, badminton (corporate division), and tennis, the prize money distribution is as follows: champion RMB 5,000, runner-up RMB 3,000, third place RMB 2,000, fourth place RMB 1,000, and each of the four teams tied for fifth place receives RMB 800. For basketball: champion RMB 10,000, runner-up RMB 6,000, third place RMB 4,000, fourth place RMB 2,000, and each of the four teams tied for fifth place receives RMB 1,500.
The organizers urge all participants to assess their health conditions carefully before registering. Any personal injury or property loss that occurs during the competition, resulting from the participant's own physical condition or other personal reasons, shall be the sole responsibility of the participant.
