The 2026 Jieyang Fun Run was held on January 25, 2026, drawing participants from across the region to the historic city in eastern Guangdong and combining fitness with rich Teochew culture.

The race route went through scenic urban areas along the Rongjiang River, passing by landmarks such as the Jieyang Confucian Temple. This year's event featured 35 intangible cultural heritage performance stations, showcasing local traditions including the Yingge dance and lion dances.

Local runners expressed pride in sharing their hometown's warm hospitality and cultural traditions. "The whole event was filled with energy," said one participant. "It was a great way to showcase the passionate side of Jieyang and the spirit of Teochew culture."

Out-of-town runners also praised the experience. The men's 30–49 age group winner from Guangzhou said the cultural performances — especially the lion dance and Yingge dance — kept him energized throughout the run. He added that he hopes to return with his family to race again and explore more of the city.

Now a signature event, the Jieyang Fun Run continues to promote public fitness while highlighting Teochew culture, offering participants an immersive, memorable experience.
