Guangdong secured two gold medals and one bronze in the taekwondo competition of the 15th National Games, which concluded in Huizhou City, Guangdong, on September 29.

The event spanned four days, featuring fierce competition among 134 athletes from 33 teams across the country, with a total of eight gold medals awarded.

Among them, Wang Yaoxi won the gold medal in the men's +80kg category with a decisive 2-0 victory in the final.

Huang Kefen claimed the first gold medal awarded at the event on Sept 26 with a 2-1 overall win in the men's -58kg category final.

Meanwhile, in the men's -68kg bronze medal match, Yan Lei from the Guangdong team defeated a Jiangsu team player 2-0, earning a bronze medal for Guangdong.
