The Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin officially launched a 12-week cultural and arts internship program for Macao youth on July 21, offering 10 positions.

The program is jointly launched by Macao and the Cooperation Zone to nurture talent for Macao's cultural and creative industries and prepare participants for careers in the cultural and arts sectors of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). Online applications are open from July 21 to August 3.
The internship will take place at the Hengqin Cultural & Arts Complex from September 9 to December 1, 2026, covering three main areas: exhibition operations, publicity and promotion, and graphic design.

Interns will take part in hands-on museum work and support a special exhibition of precious cultural relics, which is scheduled to run from September 2026 to January 2027.
The internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in the cultural and creative sector. Applicants must be Macao residents aged 35 or under, and must hold a valid Macao identity card and a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao residents. Candidates should possess the skills required for the positions and must hold a bachelor's degree or higher, or be prospective 2027 graduates.
The program provides financial support and benefits from both Hengqin and Macao. Macao authorities will provide a living allowance of 5,000 patacas every four weeks, plus a one-time subsidy of 500 patacas for round-trip transport and travel insurance. Hengqin authorities will provide an additional 4,000 yuan every four weeks, along with free accommodation and accident insurance for all interns.
