Recently, the 7th Hengqin-Macao Joint Career Fair was held in the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, connecting hundreds of job seekers with premium regional employers.

The event specifically targeted Macao residents, university graduates, and female professionals, signaling a major step forward in Hengqin's second phase of high-quality development.
The fair featured 34 high-caliber enterprises representing the pillars of the local economy, including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) research, big health services, education, and financial insurance.
With 226 distinct roles and more than 451 individual vacancies available, the event showcased a competitive job market characterized by generous compensation packages.
Notably, the "Women's Splendor" section of the fair introduced 42 specialized "Mommy Posts"—flexible roles such as course consultants and new media operators—designed to support women re-entering the workforce while balancing childcare responsibilities.
Beyond immediate hiring, the event served as a comprehensive resource center for career advancement. Professional consultants at the onsite career guidance zone provided one-on-one sessions on resume optimization and interview techniques to more than 431 attendees.
To better facilitate commuting between Macao and the mainland, organizers provided four dedicated shuttle routes connecting Zhuhai and the Hengqin Port, ensuring seamless access for Macao-based talent.
The career fair was held in tandem with an informative forum designed to demystify the transition into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Officials from Macao's Education and Youth Development Bureau provided detailed briefings on a Macao youth GBA career path subsidy scheme, outlining application procedures that lower the threshold for young Macao residents to start their careers in the mainland.
By the end of the day, the fair had processed 699 resumes—with over 85% of applicants holding bachelor's degrees or higher—and resulted in 176 preliminary employment agreements.
Next, Hengqin will continue to evolve as a gateway for Macao's economic diversification, ensuring that the GBA remains a fertile ground for the next generation of Macao's professional pioneers.
