Applications for talent subsidies are now open for degree-holding professionals, technical and skilled personnel, as well as Macao youth in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. Eligible talents can receive subsidies of up to 270,000 yuan.

The application period runs June 1-30. Eligible Macao youth can receive a living subsidy of up to 270,000 yuan. Degree-holding, professional and technical talents are eligible for up to 180,000 yuan, and skilled talents up to 60,000 yuan. The subsidies will be paid in equal installments over two to three years, depending on the category.
Applicants must be employed by enterprises or institutions that are legally registered in the Cooperation Zone and have substantive operations there in the application year. They must be actually working for such employers and hold the required academic qualifications, professional titles, or vocational qualifications.
Applicants must also meet age requirements: doctoral degree holders and senior technicians must be aged 50 or below; master's degree holders and technicians, 45 or below; and bachelor's degree holders and senior skilled workers, 40 or below.
First-time applicants must have continuously paid individual income tax and social insurance in the Cooperation Zone for six months or longer. Applicants for the second and third installments must have made such payments for at least 18 months and 30 months, respectively, calculated from June 30, 2026.
