Int'l expo on public transportation in Guangzhou highlights new energy and autonomous driving

On the afternoon of September 4, the 2nd (Guangzhou) International Expo on New Energy and Digital Technologies for Public Transportation commenced at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. Over 2,000 representatives from government agencies, industry associations, public transport operators, research institutions, and media attended the event.

The Expo adopted a triple format of "seminars + exhibition + technical visits," showcasing cutting-edge products, technologies, and system solutions in the fields of new energy and digital technology for public transport, providing participants with first-hand insight into the vigorous momentum generated by the in-depth integration of these two sectors.

During the opening ceremony, the "2025 Outstanding Case List for Innovative Applications of New Energy and Digital Technology in Urban Public Transport" was released. Several key signing and unveiling ceremonies were held, including the unveiling of the research institute jointly established by the China Urban Public Transport Association and Guangzhou Public Transport Group, as well as partnership agreements between the Association and Tianjin Public Transport Group and several ecosystem enterprises (such as WeRide, DiDi, Yutong, etc.).

The Expo featured indoor and outdoor exhibition areas spanning 10,000 square meters, attracting over 70 enterprises such as Yuan Cheng New Energy, CRRC Electric Vehicle, Skyworth New Energy, and Zhejiang SAGE Aerospace. Exhibits covered vehicles, axles, onboard intelligent terminals, batteries, battery recycling, hydrogen fuel cells, charging piles, battery testing, vehicle air conditioning, intelligent connected technologies, autonomous driving solutions, and related technical support.

Focusing on green transformation, digitalization, and smart upgrades, this Expo served as a platform to display industrial achievements, foster innovative exchanges and cooperation, and provide a crucial stage for building a sustainable urban mobility ecosystem and expanding global market collaboration.
