Centered on the Gaohu, also known as the high-pitched Erhu or Cantonese Erhu, this exhibition brings together music collections and folk relics related to national intangible cultural heritages such as Cantonese Opera. It tells the origin of Huqin (a general term for Chinese bowed string instruments), the invention of the Gaohu, and its cultural influence.

Through multimedia interactions and immersive performances, the exhibition showcases the artistic charm of the Gaohu, allowing the stories of Guangdong, the Greater Bay Area, and China to be shared with the world through music. In addition, the Guangdong Museum has teamed up with the Xinghai Concert Hall for the first time to launch themed activities, creating a triple experience of "exhibition + study tour + concert" and demonstrating the living legacy of Lingnan music.

This exhibition is curated by Zhong Weifan, a renowned Chinese abstract artist and professor. Active in China's modern and contemporary art scene for decades, he uses this exhibition to express his views on today's complex cultural phenomena.

The exhibition focuses on Zhong's sculptures and his "YAO" series of poems. He transforms ancient wood thousands of years old into sculptures, using "arcs" to symbolize vitality and "holes" to create a spiritual atmosphere. Through the interaction between the appearance and meaning of the works, the power and solemnity of life are demonstrated. Meanwhile, the "YAO" poems provide audiences with multiple perspectives to engage with the works.

This exhibition takes "food" as its central theme, exploring not only its role in daily life but also its emotional and spiritual significance. Artists create diverse works inspired by "food". Some travel through time to cook for Van Gogh, others compile interesting "Flower-Eating Guides," some spend nearly a decade documenting restaurant memories, some transform into characters to taste "dark cuisine," and others reorganize materials like molecular cuisine to present new forms of food.

Photography Exhibition on Clothing: Bai Chuan's Mobile Photography Exhibition

衣服上的摄影展:白川手机摄影作品

Co-created by photographer Bai Chuan and Tiger On The Tree, this photography exhibition draws inspiration from 1980s T-shirts printed with slogans, comics, or rock stars. While echoing the core concept of wearable expression, it upgrades the medium from slogans to wearable photography, breaking the limits of traditional exhibition space.

Bai Chuan uses his recent mobile phone photography as source material. Ordinary moments such as a back view or a bowl of rice are turned into patterns on clothing. These images are no longer static exhibits in art galleries but flexible works that move with the wearer, creating a highly interactive exhibition rooted in everyday life.
