3rd GBA Philatelic Exhibition to open at a new landmark in Hengqin

The 3rd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Philatelic Exhibition is scheduled to be held at Tianmu Qintai in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin from December 18 to 22.

As a national-level competitive philatelic event, the GBA Philatelic Exhibition offers a cultural feast to enthusiasts and the general public through a diverse and richly curated collection. This year's exhibition brings together more than 1,000 frames of philatelic works. The exhibits cover an extensive range of themes and categories, including history, culture, art, science, and more.

The exhibition will showcase, in a single presentation, multiple sets of rare stamps of significant historical importance in the history of stamp issuance. These include the world's first postage stamp, the Penny Black; China's first set of stamps, the Large Dragons; China's first commemorative stamps marking the 60th birthday of Empress Dowager Cixi; the first commemorative stamps of the People's Republic of China (PRC) celebrating the First Plenary Session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC); the PRC's first special stamps featuring the National Emblem; and the Commemorative stamps marking the founding of the PRC, among others.

The exhibition will present a large number of rare items depicting the shared history and culture of Hengqin and Macao and will also feature competitive sections with entries from various provinces, cities, and from Hong Kong and Macao, highlighting themes such as GBA development and Macao's unique charm. The non-competitive themed sections will focus on showcasing national development achievements and GBA integration.

A postal service area and a temporary post office will be set up on-site, offering Tianmu Qintai exclusive temporary postmarks and a selection of limited-edition philatelic products, along with special cancellation and mailing services.

Tianmu Qintai, the venue of the exhibition, is known as the "Heart of Hengqin." Resembling a traditional Chinese Guqin resting across the Tianmu River, this landmark building will open to the public for the first time as a formal convention and exhibition facility.
