The "Love and Peace — Exhibition of Feng Zikai's Art" will be held from September 17 to November 21 at the Hengqin Culture & Art Complex.
As the pioneer of modern Chinese comic art, Mr. Feng Zikai created countless beloved works throughout his life. With his distinctive freehand Chinese ink brush style, he captured the beauty of everyday moments while conveying deeper meaning and subtle charm. His works stand out in the history of modern Chinese painting, forming a unique artistic school.
The exhibition coincides with the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as the fourth anniversary of the establishment of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. It aims to honor history while carrying forward the heritage of traditional Chinese culture.
Located on the third floor of the Hengqin Culture & Art Complex (entrance via the west gate), the exhibition will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (last admission at 5:00 p.m.; closed on Mondays except public holidays). Admission is free with real-name reservation.
A total of 200 selected masterpieces will be showcased under four themes: Affection for Homeland, Poetic Charm, Childlike Fun, and the Heart of Protecting Life. They present a comprehensive view of Feng Zikai's artistic style and spiritual depth.
The exhibition also features multimedia displays, a documentary literature section on the artist's life, and a creative photo zone. Visitors will not only appreciate Feng Zikai's artistic achievements but also gain insights into how his works embody the fusion of modern humanistic spirit and Eastern aesthetics.
