French musical "MOLIÈRE" to tour Guangzhou and Shenzhen this October

When rap collides with classics and street dance, igniting the dramatic soul of the 17th century, the original French musical "MOLIÈRE" will take the stage in Guangzhou and Shenzhen this October.

The musical has also won awards for "Best Musical," "Best Arrangement," "Best Choreography," and "Most Popular."

Since its 2023 premiere in Paris, the innovative musical "MOLIÈRE" has sparked a worldwide craze. Over 160 tour performances across France were sold out, drawing more than 500,000 spectators. Following the announcement of its 2025 global debut tour in China, related topics on Rednote have exceeded 14 million views, while cumulative plays on Bilibili have surpassed 380,000.

As the latest masterpiece from Dove Attia, the award-winning producer of "Mozart L'opéra Rock," "MOLIÈRE" has wowed audiences with its subversive artistic expression. It boldly blends French flair with urban music and rap, paired with dynamic modern street dance, reinterpreting the legendary life of the French drama giant Molière through a 21st-century artistic lens.

The musical immerses the audience in the life of Molière. At 20, he gave up the fame and fortune of being a royal interior decorator, founded l'Illustre Théâtre with his lover Madeleine, and dedicated himself to drama under the stage name "Molière." Despite facing hostility from his enemies, he continued to innovate freely in the theater. In 1673, he collapsed on stage during a performance of "Le Malade Imaginaire," fully devoted to his lifelong passion for art.
