The Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin is rolling out a wide-ranging cultural and tourism program for the upcoming eight-day Golden Week holiday, covering the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival. Activities include large-scale outdoor events, art exhibitions, live performances, and family attractions, aimed at visitors of all ages.
Major Events
From October 1st-3rd, the "Hengqin-Macao Family Feast" at Hengqin Rowing Park will feature themed installations, interactive games, live music, and nightly drone shows with more than 700 drones illuminating the sky.
The first "Catch the Wind Lifestyle Festival" will take place at Hengqin Arts Centre from October 1st to 7th. Highlights include daily art parades, a food market with 80 vendors, street dance, concerts, and a pet-themed carnival on October 1st-2nd.
Separately, the Macao International Food Festival (Hengqin) will run at Huafa Mall from September 30th to October 5th, bringing together over 100 brands with regional produce and Macao cuisine.

The Hengqin Arts Centre is hosting a Feng Zikai exhibition until November 21st, presenting 200 of the artist's works alongside manuscripts and personal items.
As part of the Macao International Performance Season, several shows are scheduled, including the Cantonese musical The Courage to Be Disliked (October 1st), a concert by indie band SCAMPER (October 2nd), and a Cantonese stand-up show (October 5th). Some performances have already sold out.
Nighttime Attractions:
The 33rd Macao International Fireworks Display Contest will light up the skies on October 1st, 2nd, and 6th. The Hengqin IFC area is regarded as one of the best viewing points.

Chimelong Ocean Kingdom will launch enhanced parades and fireworks, while its Spaceship Park will stage an orca-themed program with extended opening hours. Hengqin Innovaland will offer family-friendly activities such as workshops, climbing, and parades.

For younger visitors and festival-goers, Starry Town will host a fire-themed camping party from October 1st to 8th, and the Pantour Plaza beer and camping festival will run from September 28th to October 8th with live music, dance, outdoor film screenings, and themed games.
