The Urban Planning & Construction Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin has recently released the design proposal for Phase I of Tianhu Park, a large-scale ecological and recreational project planned along the Niujiaokeng Reservoir on Dahengqin Mountain.

According to the proposal, the entire park will cover an area of about 570,000 square meters, with the first phase occupying roughly 349,000 square meters. The project aims to utilize the area's existing mountain and water landscapes, combining ecological conservation with public recreation and environmental education.

The proposal includes a network of lakeside walking trails, viewing and rest platforms, waterfall features, boardwalks near the water, bird-watching pavilions, and interactive public art installations. Several themed zones will be created to offer diverse visitor experiences while preserving the site's natural character.

Once completed, Tianhu Park is expected to become one of Hengqin's major urban green spaces, providing residents and visitors with a large, open area for leisure, nature-based activities, and ecological learning.
