As the Chinese New Year approaches, Yangjiang, a coastal city in Guangdong Province, is awash in a sea of red and gold. The city's annual festive transformation is in full swing, with over 600,000 seasonal flowers and 3,000 crimson lanterns dressing up 15 key locations—from major traffic circles and government squares to the bustling high-speed rail station—turning the entire urban landscape into a vibrant celebration of the coming Spring.

Workers have been installing decorative lighting along central thoroughfares, where trees are now draped with lanterns and traditional ornaments featuring symbols of spring, good fortune, and the upcoming Year of the Horse. A large horse-themed display will greet travelers at the Xiping North Highway interchange, intended as a focal point for holiday photography. In the historic Taifu Road district, traditional arcade buildings have been adorned with lanterns and horse-themed decorations, blending classic architecture with seasonal cheer.

It is said that all installations are scheduled to be fully lit by February 12, enhancing the cityscape for family outings and evening strolls throughout the holiday period.
