A stretch of purple trumpet trees along the river coastal area in Guangzhou's Haizhu District has reached full bloom, attracting residents and photographers to the Daganwei riverside walk. The flowers, known for their clusters of pink-purple blossoms, have become a seasonal highlight in the city.

The trees, commonly called purple trumpet trees, produce globe-like bunches of delicate flowers. Each small bloom resembles a tiny bell, giving the tree its distinctive name. The site has become a popular backdrop for photography, especially during the afternoon hours when the sunlight softens.

Visitors have shared tips for capturing the blooms effectively. Using a telephoto lens to isolate branches against the skyline or positioning the trees against the Pearl River with boats in the background can create layered compositions. The best light occurs between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m., when the late-day sun adds a golden glow to the flowers.
The area is accessible via the Guangzhou Metro Line 10 at Daganwei Station (Exit A), or by bus routes 87 and 530. Authorities remind the public to avoid shaking branches or picking flowers to help preserve the scenery.

The blooms are expected to last for the coming days, offering a vivid natural display within the urban environment.
