Plum blossoms turn Huizhou's Lianghua into sea of fragrance

Winter has brought a quiet burst of color to the plum garden at Lianghua National Forest Park in Huidong County, Huizhou City, Guangdong. Now at peak bloom, the hillsides are blanketed with plum trees, their white and pale pink blossoms stretching across the slopes and filling the air with a soft, lingering fragrance.

Inside the orchard, sunlight filters through the branches, and bees drift between blossoms. Visitors stroll along the paths, stopping to take photos, chatting under the trees, or simply enjoying the calm winter scene.

Originally planted for green plum production, the orchards have gradually evolved into a seasonal attraction, supporting rural tourism and local specialty products. Today, the plum blossoms offer not just a winter escape but also a glimpse of how nature-based tourism is adding new vitality to the countryside.
