Guangdong to see less rainfall with rising temperature over the coming days

Recently, Guangdong has been experiencing continuous rainfall. According to the provincial meteorological observatory, from August 20 to 22, precipitation across the province will gradually weaken, and daytime temperatures will tend to rise as the subtropical high strengthens and the southerly airflow diminishes.

On August 20, the western and northern parts of Guangdong will experience moderate rainfall, with localized heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms. The rest of the province will be predominantly cloudy, with scattered thunderstorms. In certain areas, thunderstorms may be severe, characterized by short-duration heavy precipitation and strong convective winds reaching force 7-8.

On August 21, western and northern Guangdong are expected to remain cloudy to overcast with thunderstorms, and some regions may experience localized heavy rainfall. The remaining areas will be mainly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms.

On August 22, the weather in western Guangdong will remain cloudy with scattered thunderstorms, while other regions will see cloudy to partly sunny skies with localized thunderstorms.

The urban forecast for Guangzhou is as follows: On August 20, the city will be cloudy to overcast with thunderstorms and isolated heavy rainfall, with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 32°C. On August 21, it will remain cloudy with thunderstorms, and temperatures will rise to between 26°C and 33°C. On August 22, Guangzhou will continue to experience cloudy weather with thunderstorms, and the temperature will further increase to a range of 26°C to 34°C.
