For the first half of the week, temperatures across most of China will remain well above the seasonal average. However, a major change is expected later on. From December 10 to 13, a cold wave will move from west to east, bringing widespread temperature drops of 6 °C to 10 °C.

Guangdong Province:
The provincial meteorological observatory forecasts generally sunny and dry weather from December 8 to 10, with light fog or mist in some areas during the morning and evening. Cloud cover will gradually increase, especially in the central and southern regions. Around December 10, conditions will become overcast with scattered light drizzle. Large day-night temperature differences will persist, resulting in chilly mornings and evenings.
Guangzhou City:
Sunny and dry weather continued on December 9, with notable daily temperature swings. Cloud cover will increase starting December 10. Beginning December 13, an upper-level trough and a stronger cold air mass will bring light rain, stronger winds, and a significant temperature drop, with daytime highs falling to around 17 °C.
Meteorological authorities advise residents to dress warmly, plan travel and outdoor activities accordingly, and remain alert to port and maritime safety.
